Description
Summit Digital Marketing is seeking a Director of Strategy to lead our sales initiatives for our agency, and drive growth for our clients. As the Director of Strategy, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire sales process—from outreach and prospecting to closing deals. You will also play a key role in shaping the overall client strategy, ensuring that client campaigns are aligned with their business goals. In addition, you will contribute to the internal marketing strategy and its execution, enhancing the agency's visibility and effectiveness in the marketplace.
Summit Digital Marketing is a remote digital marketing agency (based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado) specializing in SEO and PPC services. We serve clients in 70+ different industries across North America, Europe, and Asia, with a special focus on the ecommerce and local small business industries..
Main Responsibilities include
- Sales Outreach and Prospecting: Proactively identify and reach out to potential clients. Use various sales tools and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified leads. Manage relationships with prospects, nurture them through the sales funnel, and ensure a steady stream of opportunities.
- Facilitates Sales Calls and Close New Business: Lead sales calls and meetings, understanding client needs, and presenting tailored solutions. Address objections, build rapport, and close deals with potential clients, ensuring smooth transitions into the client onboarding phase.
- Oversee Client Strategy and Ideation: Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and design comprehensive marketing strategies that drive results. Collaborate with Summit’s Digital Marketing Manager and the internal marketing team to ensure that tactics are aligned with strategic visions for client goals.
- Internal Marketing Strategy and Execution: Oversee the agency's internal marketing efforts, including branding, positioning, and lead generation strategies. Lead the development and execution of Summit Digital Marketing’s marketing initiatives to attract new business and retain current clients. Ensure that the agency remains at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
- KPI: New Clients + Client Retention
- Sales Growth: Drive measurable growth in new client acquisition and revenue. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Client Satisfaction and Retention: Ensure that new clients experience a smooth onboarding process and have strategies in place that meet their objectives. Measure client satisfaction through feedback and retain long-term relationships.
- Marketing Impact: Demonstrate an increase in brand visibility and inbound leads through the execution of successful internal marketing campaigns. Measure success through metrics such as website traffic, engagement, and new inquiries.
Skills Needed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. (Optional not required)
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within a digital marketing or related agency environment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, and other online channels. (Must have at least 5+ years experience in digital marketing)
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, selling, and closing deals with small-to-medium businesses.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly and communicate ROI
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align sales and marketing efforts with business growth objectives.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales automation tools, and marketing platforms.
- A results-driven mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote working environment.
